LOUISIANA GULF COAST BILLFISH CLASSIC
The Louisiana Gulf Coast Billfish Classic is one of the most prestigious big game fishing tournaments in the Gulf of Mexico. The tournament competition runs from May 1st through May 4th with registered boats leaving Cypress Cove Marina & Lodge in Venice, Louisiana, and from Grand Isle, LA.

THE CAJUN CANYONS BILLFISH CLASSIC
The Cajun Canyons Billfish Classic features a modified-release format for billfish species, along with BIG prize money for Blue Marlin, Tag or Release, Dolphin, Tuna, and Wahoo. The tournament name originates from the deepwater canyons off the Gulf coast of Louisiana: the MS Canyon - named after the mighty Mississippi.

The Faux Pas Lodge Invitational has become one of Southeast Louisiana’s premier fishing rodeos.
In addition to their Award Division that includes Inshore, Rig, and Offshore, they also offer Basic Calcuttas, Grand Slam Calcuttas, Blue Marlin Tag and Release, Live Redfish Stringer, 5 Trout Stringer, Redfish with most spots, and more.

GRAND ISLE TARPON RODEO
Since 1928, the Grand Isle International Tarpon Rodeo is the oldest fishing tournament in the United States. Every late July the island town of Grand Isle joins together for 3 days and celebrates a Louisiana sport fishing tradition. Fishermen travel from afar to compete for the biggest species of fish they can find, inshore and offshore. There's also daily activities for families attending the famous tournament, such as live music and childrens' crab races. If you are planning a fishing trip to south Louisiana, pencil Grand Isle on your list.

EMPIRE SOUTH PASS TARPON RODEO
During the first week of August the town of Empire comes together for one of their largest social events of the year. There's great food, camaraderie and southern hospitality shared by everyone involved, and the local residents love to entertain. The 74th Empire South Pass Tarpon Rodeo will host teams from South Louisiana in search of the largest tarpon, inshore and offshore species. Bring your family and friends to this year's event for nightly live music and experience true Cajun culture, hosted by Delta Marina.

INVITATIONAL BILLFISH TOURNAMENT
Founded in 1961, New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club has created a rich history of sport fishing along the Louisiana Gulf Coast. Most notable is their bond with the famous Port Eads Marina and current club location at Cypress Cove Marina & Lodge. Their passion for fishing Louisiana waters is second to none, and they welcome everyone to experience where they came from. They invite you to participate in the 51st New Orleans Invitational Billfish Tournament for big blue marlin, tuna, wahoo and dolphin, for large cash awards and prizes. The tournament is a true testament to big game fishing out of the bayou.
